Chillers are used for to maintain a stable and precise temperature of the ice cover. Before you fill the arena with water, fit the so-called ice-mats, which are laid in parallel line of long tubes with small diameter. At the ends of ice-mats all the tubes are connected into a single closed loop, which is included in the chiller. It is cooled by refrigerant which circulates through the tubes of ice-mats. From above they are filled with water, which gradually cooled and frozen to -13 °C.
