Three chillers for "Al Salami Group"

Egypt plays a crucial geopolitical role due to its strategic position as a transcontinental nation with the “political-economic bridge” (Suez Canal) connecting Africa and Asia, facilitating maritime trade between the Mediterranean Sea and the Indian Ocean through the Red Sea.

The economy of Egypt is of a mixed type with a strong state sector. Major industrial sectors include textiles, food, tourism, chemicals, petroleum, and construction metals, and cement.

One of the Egyptian companies involved in the cement industry is the “Al Salami Group.” This group, fully owned by Oman, has been operating in the Sultanate of Oman since 1984, consisting of five main companies. Its crusher division, concrete products division, transport division, and workshop divisions are located in Falaj Al-Oueh, Sohar, Sultanate of Oman. The majority of the factory machines and equipment are imported from Germany.

The Al Salami Group produces and supplies various types of sand, fillers, base materials, crushed fillers for the base layer, fillers, concrete blocks, paving stones, and hydraulically pressed curbstones for civil and road construction in Sohar and its surrounding region in Oman. With over 25 years of experience, the group has built a commendable reputation for quality, trust, and the highest standards of business ethics.

In the production of concrete products, chillers can be used to control the temperature during the concrete mixing and curing process. Chillers are devices that cool liquids or air, ensuring a stable temperature in manufacturing processes.

The role of chillers in the production of concrete products may include:

1. Temperature control during concrete mixing: Chillers can be used to cool water or other fluids added to the concrete mix, ensuring optimal conditions for concrete curing during the mixing and vibration process.
2. Process curing control: In some cases, especially in the production of certain types of concrete products, it is crucial to control the temperature during the curing process. Chillers can help maintain the optimal temperature, improving the quality and strength of the concrete.

Therefore, our clients from Egypt approached us in search of a chiller for their production. Considering the specific requirements, our specialists recommended three different chillers.

The first option was the BLUE BOX EPSILON ECHOS, equipped with a heat pump, plate heat exchanger, two fans, and a spiral inverter compressor providing 16 kW cooling capacity.

The second option was the HYFRA ALPHA34 with a capacity of 26.4 kW. This chiller, in excellent condition from 2019, features a Danfoss compressor and a water pump, performing its functions seamlessly.

The third option was the BLUE BOX EPSILON ECHOS DK RF HP, equipped with a heat pump, plate heat exchanger, powerful fan, and a Copeland spiral compressor providing a stable 24 kW capacity. The impeccable condition of this chiller could not go unnoticed by the client.

Taking all factors into account, the “Al Salami Group” made the choice to purchase all three chillers, which were soon delivered to them. Of course, before this, the refrigeration units underwent thorough checks and adjustments to ensure our clients could immediately use their purchase.
