■ Freecooling module
Super chiller design with integrated freecooling section allows Liebert HIROSS HPC to take advantage of low outdoor temperatures during
cooling water to save energy by eliminating compressor operation.
Installing a 3-way valve allows coolant to be supplied to the optional freecooling heat exchanger before being directed to the evaporator. This means that even if the outside temperature is not low enough to support the full heat load, a significant reduction in system operating costs can still be achieved whenever the outside temperature drops below the coolant inlet temperature. Due to the compact design of the Superchiller unit, the space requirements compared to a conventional chiller plus drycooler are achieved, and the reduced operating hours of the compressors provide exceptional savings both in the long term and in a short time.
