Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country in the northwestern part of the Balkan Peninsula, bordered to the north and west by Croatia, to the east by Serbia, and to the south and east by Montenegro; area 51,197 km²; capital Sarajevo; relief: mountainous country, part of the Dinaric Alps, limestone gorges. The population is 3,879,296 people (2012), of which 48% are Bosniak Muslims (Sunnis), 37% are Serbs, and 14% are Croats. The vast majority of the population profess Islam.

More than 2/3 of the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina is occupied by mountain ranges; the most important of these are the Bosnian Ore Mountains (the highest point is Mount Vranica at 2107 m) and the Dinaric Plateau. The Maglić mountain massif (Serbian Маглич) and the eponymous peak on the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro are part of the internal part of the Dinaric Plateau. The highest peak of the massif, Veliki Vitao (Serbian Велики Витао; 2396 m), is located in Montenegro, while the Maglić peak (Serbian Маглич; 2386 m) is the highest peak of the Republic of Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina). In fact, the Maglić peak has two peaks, the higher one (2388 m) is located in Montenegro. The northeastern parts of the Dinaric Plateau reach the Pannonian Basin, and to the south they border on the Adriatic Sea. The Dinaric Plateau stretches from southeast to northwest and rises to the south. Other major mountains include Volujak, Zelengora, Lelija, Lebršnik, Orjen, Kozara, Grmeč, Cvrsnica, Prenj, Vran, Vranica, Velež, Vlašić, Čvrsnica, Romanija, Jahorina, Bjelašnica, Treskavica, and Trebević. The geological structure of the Dinaric mountain chain in Bosnia is predominantly limestone (including Mesozoic limestone), with deposits of iron, coal, zinc, manganese, bauxite, lead, and salt present in some areas, especially in central and northern Bosnia.

According to IMF data for 2015, Bosnia and Herzegovina belonged to developing countries. According to Forbes data for December 2015, the country has a transitional economy heavily dependent on the export of metals, textiles, furniture, electricity, as well as on foreign aid and remittances; a segmented market and bureaucracy hinder foreign investment; the state debt is 45% of GDP, unemployment is 43.9%, and inflation is 0.9%. The PROVEN doo enterprise was founded in Sarajevo in 1990, and in 1997 it was launched and aimed at the production of cardboard and PVC welded plastic equipment, polystyrene, polypropylene, and polyethylene terephthalate (packaging, containers, and lids), mainly for the dairy industry, as well as for a large group of consumers, or also for the needs of medium-sized industry packaging (household cleaning products, cleaning and personal use products). During the merger of the main production, production of PP and PS sheets also need to use thermoforming technology, and at the warehouse of equipment for packaging poultry – direct production of prepared products. This “cooling giant” with dimensions of 6.65 x 2.20 x 2.65m and a weight of over 3.5 tons, equipped with a plate heat exchanger, has 12 fans and as many as six spiral compressors, with which it can operate with a power of 654 kW.
