WATERCOOLED CHILLER HYFRA ALPHA 13-E-W-S-MCE for «RovaMatto»

Finland is a Nordic country in Northern Europe. It borders Sweden to the west, Norway to the northwest, and Russia to the east. To the south and west, the country’s shores are washed by the waters of the Baltic Sea and its gulfs—the Gulf of Finland and the Gulf of Bothnia. The country is located in Northern Europe, stretching from north to south. Finland’s length from north to south is 1030 km, and from west to east, it is 515 km. It borders Sweden (with a common border of 586 km), Norway (729 km), and the Russian Federation (1313 km). The total length of the land border is 2628 km. The coastline is 1126 km long. A quarter of the country’s territory is located beyond the Arctic Circle—where the sun does not set for up to 1 day (at the latitude of the Arctic Circle) to 73 days (at the northernmost point of the country), resulting in the phenomenon of the polar day, while in winter, there can be up to 51 days without sunrise (the polar night). The phenomenon of the white nights is characteristic for the rest of the territory in summer.

Finland is a highly developed industrial-agrarian country. The leading industries include metallurgy, mechanical engineering (shipbuilding, electronic equipment, etc.), pulp and paper, woodworking, ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, chemical, textile, sewing, and food industries. The main natural resources of the country are forests (about 65% of the total area) and metal ores (copper, zinc, nickel, etc.).

The economy of Finland is based on private entrepreneurship, and one of the companies in this country is “RovaMatto.”

Like many family-owned businesses in Northern Finland, they had humble beginnings. Founded in 1984, RovaMatto was ahead of its time by nearly four decades. They saw an obvious problem: dirt easily gets tracked indoors. The weather in the Nordic countries can be quite absurd, and with changing seasons comes a myriad of dirt brought indoors on our footwear.

The company decided to create practical and appealing products for customers that would keep their spaces cleaner for longer, developing and producing carpet and mat solutions that effectively combat excessive dirt in the entrances of restaurants, hotels, office buildings, residential complexes, retail stores, and more. Over the years, they expanded their product range to provide complete solutions for properties of any shape and size.

The protective mats of the RovaMatto company effectively protect premises from dirt and moisture, and they are all manufactured in-house. Chillers play an important role in the production of rubber mats, providing optimal conditions for the manufacturing process. The main function of chillers is to cool various elements in the production process. Different types of raw materials are used in the production of rubber mats, which may require cooling to preserve their properties and ensure the correct reaction with other components. For example, during the mixing of rubber with additional components such as plasticizers or pigments, significant thermal energy may be generated, which can negatively affect the quality of the final product. Chillers allow controlling the temperature during the mixing and forming of rubber, providing stable and optimal conditions for production. They can also be used to cool finished mats after forming to accelerate the rubber curing process and ensure the necessary physical properties of the final product. Thus, chillers are an important element in the production of rubber mats, helping to ensure the quality and stability of the manufacturing process.

For such a client, our specialists decided to recommend the HYFRA ALPHA 13-E-W-S-MCE chiller. This water-cooled chiller is equipped with a plate heat exchanger, a water pump, and a Copeland scroll compressor providing a power of 11 kW. Moreover, it is very compact (0.72 x 0.72 x 1.38 m), so it won’t take up much space at the facility.

The chiller underwent seven stages of testing, after which it was adjusted to the necessary temperature regime and sent to Finland to our partners. We are grateful for the trust shown to us. The company Evroprom works with partners in 60 countries worldwide and has no plans to stop, so we thank everyone who joins us in our common goal!
