HVAC Equipment Delivery to Morocco: Expanding Horizons to the Atlantic with EVROPROM

EVROPROM has delivered HVAC equipment to Morocco for the first time in 11 works. The deal was a key one in the region, the Customer requested a bulk purchase at the lowest possible price with a discount of -60% to be used in construction and sold on the local market.

The scope of delivery was a fully loaded 40ft container weighing over 18 tonnes. It included 3 new BlueBox Epsilon Echos compressor and condenser units with cooling capacities ranging from 26 to 30 kW and 2 large York units with capacities of 360 and 446 kW, fully covering the cooling needs for different types of facilities.

The total cooling capacity of the entire batch exceeded 862 kW, equivalent to 246.5 tonnes of refrigeration, and the total thermal potential was over 52 kW. The total delivery volume allowed simultaneous servicing of up to 7 facilities of 1,000-1,200 m² each or 1 large industrial complex of up to 6,500 m² total area.

The practical benefit for the Moroccan customer was cost optimisation. CIF delivery took 2-3 weeks and the unit price per kilowatt was 15-20% lower than the market price. Purchasing a 40′ container avoided unnecessary logistics costs and also reduced the cost per tonne of chiller from 280-300€ to 240€. Given the HVAC market conditions in Morocco, this was a decisive factor: the equipment is more favourable to use in construction and to sell to local companies and factories at competitive prices.

The unit is equipped with 8 fans and optimally serves areas up to 7,500 m², making it suitable for industrial complexes, large production halls, food processing plants, residential neighbourhoods and facilities with high temperature stability requirements. Dimensions of 5.8×2.4×2.5 metres and a weight of 7,246 kg ensure compactness for installation on production sites, while high performance guarantees long-term reliability in demanding climatic conditions.

With this approach, EVROPROM turns complex deliveries into a simple task: the entire documentation package, certification, logistics and customs are under control, savings of up to 30 % are realised, and customers receive the exact solution for their projects. From offices to industrial giants – technology comes wherever stability, power and reliability are needed.

In addition, important engineering parameters have been taken into account:

The number of compressors per unit – from 2 to 6, which allowed flexible load distribution, reducing peak energy consumption by 10-15 % when several units operate simultaneously; Noise pressure level – 58-72 dBA, which ensures that the equipment can be installed close to residential and office areas without exceeding permissible regulations; Air flow rate at rated load – up to 24,000 m³/h, sufficient for industrial and commercial facilities of medium to large area, which allows cooling up to 5-6 thousand m² of office space or maintaining a micro

EVROPROM has implemented in-house engineering solutions for precise energy efficiency calculations: with an average COP of 3.2, every 26-30 kW of unit capacity resulted in energy savings of up to 15 %, reducing cooling and heating costs by 500-700 € per month for properties of 1,000-1,200 m². Load calculation according to SEER and EER allowed selecting up to 10 units in a batch, the total cooling capacity of which reached 520-720 kW and heating capacity of 1.2-1.5 MW, covering the requirements of industrial facilities.

Additionally, EVROPROM developed air distribution and fan regulation schemes, which allowed to increase the actual efficiency by 8-12 % and to provide stable cooling up to 24 000 m³/h at each object. The use of such calculations guaranteed uniform temperature distribution across the rooms, the ability to operate the equipment with minimum noise and high durability.

Logistics and organisation of delivery to North West Africa

For the Moroccan partner, optimising logistics and reducing transport costs was key. EVROPROM provided a fully loaded 40-foot container with a capacity of more than 18 tonnes, reducing shipping costs by almost 30% and delivering the entire shipment in one single shipment. The loading of all the equipment was carried out at the warehouse in Lublin and the dispatch from the port of Gdańsk.

EVROPROM provided free loading of the container, checking of completeness and functionality of all units, execution of more than 15 documents, certificates of conformity, local PFI and packing lists. This saved the client up to 30% on taxes, fees and customs clearance, and all documents were prepared for 100% HVAC equipment, covering the requirements of Moroccan regulators.

The CIF delivery time was 2-3 weeks, allowing the client to have immediate access to all the equipment, to cover the project’s needs for up to 7,500 m², to create a reserve for future operation and resale, and to minimise financial and administrative risks through accurate recalculation of all units.

Financial flexibility and working through a letter of credit

Morocco has a strict limit on direct bank transfers – no more than 200,000 dirhams (around €18,000) per transaction. For large shipments, this makes standard payments impossible, so many companies work via open letter of credit (LC) or offset accounts (OA). EVROPROM offered the client a flexible solution via LC that allowed them to pay for the entire 40ft container of equipment at once, splitting payments into tranches or deferring a portion until shipment, while maintaining full financial transparency of the contract.

LC required the preparation of over 15 documents, including bank guarantees, supply contracts and equipment specifications, to correctly complete the LC. EVROPROM took care of all documents for customs and certification, including certificates of conformity, which allowed the client to avoid unnecessary costs and bureaucracy. This approach ensured compliance with Moroccan transfer limit requirements and guaranteed timely receipt of funds, making the international transaction as safe and manageable as possible for both parties.

EVROPROM’s role in the global HVAC sector

EVROPROM has been supplying engineering equipment to markets in Asia, Africa and the Middle East for over 11 years. The company has a track record of operating in 60 countries, over 200 chillers and plants annually, and over 800 projects have been successfully integrated into plants in recent years alone.

The recent entry into the Moroccan market is an indicator of expanding horizons: A batch of more than 5 pieces of equipment weighing 18 tonnes was shipped in 1 40ft container, providing a total chiller capacity of over 246.5 tonnes.

This scale was possible thanks to flexible purchasing schemes (OA, LC), direct contracts with factories and comprehensive support: from logistics and certification to optimisation of taxes and duties.

The result is a cost reduction of up to 30 % and accelerated commissioning of facilities, which strengthens EVROPROM’s position as one of the key players in the global HVAC market.

Why experience in Morocco was key for future customers

The realised deal demonstrated EVROPROM’s capabilities:

– The ability to work in a difficult banking environment and to settle through letters of credit, which allowed the entire 40-foot container of equipment to be paid for without breaching Moroccan limits;
